Metal spinning is a processing technology of metal plastic forming.
The spinning process is a complicated elastic deformation process. The nonlinear boundary contact condition makes the spinning mechanism more complicated.
Due to the complexity of the spinning mechanism, the stress and strain distribution at each point of the spinning workpiece is very uneven; Due to the influence of many process parameters, the spinning process is also very complex.
Ordinary spinning
It is mainly to change the blank shape, while the wall thickness is unchanged or slightly changed. This spinning-forming process is called ordinary spinning. Familiar spinning is mainly used to change the diameter of the metal plate to form the workpiece. This is a noncutting forming process for machining thin-walled revolving bodies. It is used to feed the rotating metal round plate or prefabricated part through the rotating wheel and then rotate to form.
Thinned spinning
The spinning forming process in which the blank shape and wall thickness change simultaneously is called thin spinning also called strong spinning. The difference between thin and ordinary spinning is that light spinning belongs to block forming. In the deformation process, the wall thickness mainly decreases while the blank volume remains unchanged. The spindle size ultimately determines the shape of the finished product, and the precision of the finished product size depends on the reasonable matching of the process parameters.
Classification by structure
As a new process product, the rotary pulley has been widely used in automotive engines, such as the motor wheel, water pump wheel, air conditioner wheel, fan wheel, etc. According to the groove type and processing technology of belt pulley, it can be divided into three categories: split belt pulley, folding belt pulley, and multi-wedge belt pulley. The thickness of materials selected for the multi-wedge wheel is 2~6mm, generally 3mm. The blank is made by drawing and punching and is processed on the spinning machine. The tooth profile is formed by metal flow and plastic deformation on the material wall thickness.
The material thickness of the folding wheel is 1.5~2.5mm, which is also processed on the spinning machine by stretching and punching. Since no metal flow occurs during the forming process of the folding wheel, the process is relatively simple, and a few factors affect the quality.
The material thickness of the splitting wheel is 2~4mm. In general, one blanking is used to make the blank, and the spinning wheel is used to separate half of the material thickness on the spinning machine and then reshape. Because of its simple processing technology and few factors affecting the quality, the flatness of the blank itself is the most important. Therefore, the die used for offset cutting has higher requirements.
