The CAT 1 Quick Hitch Adapter Bushing is a small metal insert that is used to adjust the lower link connection point on a tractor from one size to another in order to use a different size hitch. The CAT 1 mark refers to the size of the hitch, which is a standard size commonly used for small and medium-sized agricultural tractors. For example, if a farmer has a large accessory that requires a CAT 2 hitch, but only one tractor has a CAT 1 hitch, an adapter bushing can be used. Most Cat 1 quick hitches require a bushing to be installed on the lower pin in order to adapt the accessory to the quick hitch connection. They will be installed on any 7/8-inch pin to accommodate any Cat 1 quick hitch that requires a bushing.
