Description of stainless steel motor
HZPT electric stainless steel/flushing motor adopts enclosed fan cooling (Tens) or enclosed non-ventilated (ten) housing with a protection grade of IP56, which can provide waterproof protection. These flush motors are ideal for conveyor, pump, and material handling applications in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and poultry industries.
Features include double lip seals at the drive and non-drive end, different shaft rings, O-rings and through bolts on end covers, 304 stainless steel frames, stainless steel shafts, and waterproof wire connectors/junction boxes. These waterproof motors are rated from 1/2 to 2 with a service factor of 1.15 (1.0 SF for AC drives).
Their versatility makes stainless steel/flush motors and other high-voltage motors ideal for limited inventory space. Orders for 25 or more 56 motors can be shipped in advance.

IP rating of stainless steel stepper motors
The IP (ingress protection) rating of the motor measures the ability of the motor to resist the ingress of dust and water. Objects, dust or water may enter the motor as they will not adversely affect the operation of the motor. The letter IP is followed by two numbers. The first number defines dust resistance, and the second number defines water resistance. In particular, IP55 is a very misleading category because it is often referred to as "as good as weather protection." Unfortunately, no motor manufacturer will accept a warranty claim for a damaged IP55 motor installed outdoors without a ventilated rain cover. The reason is that rainwater or melted ice and snow has time to penetrate unsealed gaps and assemble sockets, while hose water is only used for short-term flushing, and the motor will soon become dry. IP55 does not necessarily mean sealing the outer surface of the motor. This may mean sealing the bearings and eventually protecting the motor windings and all connections with resin, plastic caps, or both. Then let water enter the motor without causing any harm.
